We are hiring a Business Development Representative- Cloud Software Distribution on behalf of our client — a forward-thinking company in the technology sector, with a strong focus on cloud and cloud-native solutions. This is a remote, full-time opportunity ideal for a motivated and tech-savvy professional who excels at lead generation, client outreach, and strategic business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute email and cold calling campaigns to generate qualified leads and schedule meetings
  • Identify new business opportunities within the technology space, particularly in cloud services
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline by researching, targeting, and reaching out to potential clients
  • Understand client needs and articulate relevant product and service offerings
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a consistent and effective outreach strategy
  • Track and report on outreach efforts using CRM and other sales tools

Requirements

  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience in B2B sales or lead generation, ideally within or for the technology industry (2- 4 years of experience)
  • Comfortable conducting cold outreach via phone and email
  • Basic understanding of cloud and cloud-native technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, containers, etc.)
  • Full-time availability, with working hours aligned to the UAE time zone
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills

Compensation

  • Competitive fixed compensation (LKR 150,000–200,000) with a lucrative commission scheme.
